After much delay (all entirely my fault) Pascow's 'Tomorrow Mourning' EP is now available in the distro store. Enjoy!

More news when Kevin gets back from Africa later in the month.

Lonely Ghost's 'Subterranean' CD has been released. Head over to our store and pick up a copy. We'll also be posting soon about some stores where you'll be able to snag a copy.

We've got a lot more coming up but also some computer issues so we'll be adding some more news soon. Stay tuned!

Howdy yall, we've got a couple of things to update you on!

We've added two new items to our online distro store. Schole has given us the US exclusive distro for the label's 4th release. This time coming from Haruka Nakamura we have the full length 'Grace', for $10 including shipping for this fine Japanese import. We've also gotten a few copies from Sick To The Back Teeth of their 3" CDr 'Animal Friends' in some excellent packaging, for $3 including shipping.

Speaking of Sick To The Back Teeth, we've just confirmed them for a live performance at our upcoming Lonely Ghost 'Subterranean' CD release party! They'll be joining Lonely Ghost performing as a five piece as well as our own Sudan for what's looking to be quite the evening. We're still holding out on our 4th performer, we'll update you on that really soon. The show is on Saturday, June 7th for free. It's a loft party in Williamsburg/Bushwick and we'll have more details for you all very soon. We hope you can make it out!

We've got a couple of other shows lined up. We're very proud to have our friends Peculiar Gentlemen performing at an upcoming show with Northern State and The Gay Blades at The Knitting Factory of June 3rd, so come on out and support them! Other shows are in the planning stages, we'll keep you all posted.

We're receiving the final mix for 'Senzuri Generator: With Love To Juntaro' this week. We'll be reviewing the final master and be going ahead and making final decisions on the artwork. We should have a more final release date and packaging details very soon. We're also in the midst of planning the record release show featuring a number of contributers. We're all really excited about the release and the show, we've gotten to know a number of excellent artists in the process and we can't wait to share it with everyone.

In other news we have Sudan's recordings off to some wonderful artists in New England who be handling all of the artwork. So we'll have an update on that very soon as well.

Long time no update. Sorry about that everybody but we’ve got some great stuff lined up.

Lonely Ghost’s "Subterranean" is ready to go to press. We’re making some last minute alterations to the layout and then we’ll be off. We’ll be pressing a limited 300 in a 4 panel full color CD wallet featuring artwork by Leif Chang, Lonely Ghost’s violinist. It’s been delayed a bit and we’re really excited to get this out and hopefully in your hands!

"Senzuri Generator: With Love To Juntaro" is off for mastering as I’m writing this. As soon as we get the mastering finished we finalize the artwork and it’s off to press as well. I’m really proud of what we have here, the contributing artists are pumped and so are we. We’ve got a great array of sound as eclectic as Gero themselves were. In the coming weeks we’ll be adding quite a few of the contributing artists’ other releases to our distro store for sale. Keep an eye out!

Speaking of distro, unfortunately we’ve sold out of Suzuki Junzo and Astro’s "Cosmic Blues Experience" CD. Hopefully we can make up for it by adding NU’s 2005 album "At Gardina". NU are some friends of ours from Romania featuring member Hegyesi Alexandru who also performs under the name Shanyio. He was featured on our "Assorted Collective" compilation.

Here’s a little about NU straight from the source: NU’s "At Gardina" album (self produced, cdr, 2005) presents a musical universe in which Romanian and Middle Asian folklore influences are being mixed with electronics, in a psychedelic manner, resembling sometimes German krautrock. The title is suggestive for what the group aims: "At Gardina" means, in a Romanian dialect, In the Garden."

We’ve got two shows coming up in mid April as well, so check them out.
First coming up on the 12th we have a free show at Sound Fix/Fix Lounge in Williamsburg. We have the Izzys, Red Headed Temper (from Baltimore) and Kid Ginseng. It looks like we’re going to have an interesting mix, so come and check it out. It’s fun and it’s free so grab a beer and check out the bands.

Up next on April 15th we’ll be having the first of hopefully many in a series of special improvisational and collaborative shows featuring three of our favorite artists. This is first edition was put together with help from Brady Sansone (Heavy Winged, Lonely Ghost, Magdyn Osh) selecting the bands as curator. The idea behind this series of shows is simple: 3 bands, 3 full sets and a final 4th set in which all three artists collaborate and/or improvise in any way they see fit. For this first incarnation we have Lonely Ghost, Sudan (making their live debut) and Magnets for Teeth. Come out to Don Pedros in Brooklyn for this unorthodox event; anything can happen!

Beyond that we’ve got plenty more in the works, both Peculiar Gentlemen and Badman are currently in the studio. We’ve heard some of these new songs and we’re really excited! Head over to PG’s MySpace to hear some of the demos. Stay tuned!!

Hmm, well for some reason I can't seem to get the Japanese text to display correctly so it's coming up as question marks. Either way, you get the idea, check out the bands! The tracks are off for mastering very soon, we're finishing up the artwork and we'll be pressing this baby. We'll keep everyone posted on when we'll be ready to take pre-orders.

In other news, we have another show with the great Peculiar Gentlemen at 169 Bar in Manhattan coming up on March 8th. It looks like we'll be lining up quite a few more shows for the rest of winter and early spring with the likes of Lonely Ghost and Sudan. More on that to come.

Our friends in Japan at Schole have just released their third recording. This one is by the British electronic artist Dom Mino releasing his first album, Time Lapse. Check it out in our Distro Store.

Well that's about it for now. More news to come soon!

Well we have lots going on right now right before Christmas and the new year. Our show last week with Kendra Morris, The Sadges, Among Wolves and The Izzys has come and gone, we ran into a hitch or two at the end of the evening but everyone in attendance and the bands had a great time and we were glad to have them. Photos will be coming up soon. Check them out if you have the chance, good times!

Peculiar Gentlemen's birthday show for MC Saragoose was also a fantastic success. Everyone had a great time, Peculiar Gentlemen played a very special extended set along with our friends The Beets. We'll have some photos up in the gallery real soon. We also have an upcoming special event with Peculiar Gentlemen performing a very special acoustic set at 169 Bar in lower Manhattan.

We've added two great new recordings to our distro store, Wooden Dinosaur featuring Michael Roberts of Lonely Ghost and J-1, an excellent ambient artist straight out of Ireland. Both recordings are quite lovely, check them both out in our distro store. Unfortunately, we've sold out of I Am Seamonster's Mother:Womb release so to make up for it we've put a couple of select items on sale.

As far as our own upcoming releases, we've hit a few snags with the Lonely Ghost packaging so that may take a little while. We're waiting to receive the final track for The Gerogerigegege homage disc, so that should be happening really soon. In the meantime, Sudan is making some final tweaks to his upcoming EP. So things are moving along slowly but surely. We'll have some more previews up in our Audio section soon.

For the new year we've got some big plans, more web updates, new releases, more parties and more shows. We'll have a more concrete announcement in January so don't forget us and stay tuned!

11-29-07
Sorry for the lack of updates lately, ATF has been busy busy in recent months. Fun shows, new wheelings and dealings and of course some delays on current projects.

Tonight we have a very special show in Brooklyn. Peculiar Gentlemen will be performing a special extended set with lots of special guests and friends to celebrate the birthday of their very own MC Saragoose at Don Pedros. They'll be joined by our new friends, The Beets from Queens. It's a free show and going to be a great party with cheap drinks, excellent sound and an awesome staff, Don Pedros is at 90 Manhattan Ave. between McKibbin and Boerum in the Bushwick/Williamsburg area (2 blocks from the J line at Lorimer, 3 blocks from the G at Broadway and 5 blocks from the L at Montrose). Hope you can make it!

We've got another great show coming up at Sound Fix/Fix Lounge on December 14th!
Payola Reserve (Baltimore)
The Izzys
The Sadges
Kendra Morris

It's going to be a really fun show with some really catchy bands. It's free as usual and the drinks are nice and cheap. If you've been to any of our past shows at Sound Fix/Fix Lounge, you know how much fun we have so come on out!

We've got a couple of other shows in the works as well. Keep an eye out for a synth/electro themed show coming so get your dancing shoes ready and we've also got an experimental/noise show in January to benefit Steve at Goodbye Blue Monday, and excellent venue/coffee shop/gallery/bar out here in Brooklyn. We'll have more updates on these shows soon.

As far as our upcoming releases go, well we've hit a few snags but we should be ready to ship in the coming week or two the debut of Lonely Ghost, Subterranean, just in time for Christmas. We'll also be releasing Sudan's new EP in the very near future, as well as Senzuri Generator: With Love To Juntaro, an international tribute/homage to Japanese noise greats The Gerogerigegege, we're just waiting for 2-3 more tracks to get in.

In other news we've completely sold out of copies of our first compilation An Assorted Collective, Volume One. We'll be repressing and remastering soon and we'll let you all know when they'll be available again. Right now the only place we know that still have copies available is The Lollipop Shop, a german psychedelic shop so check it out. Of course, it's also available on eMusic, iTunes and other digital distributers.

In the coming days we'll be adding photographs from past shows in the gallery and making some updates to our distro store. Adding some new items and knocking some prices so stay tuned! Also, more preview songs from upcoming releases and some really big news for Spring 2008!

9-23-07

Badman
Peculiar Gentlemen
The Sadges
W.L.W.L.
(The Wellington Ladies Welfare League)

Lots more in the works. We've received the latest from our friends at Lonely Ghost, so we're in the process of preparing for their upcoming release. Haunting and intense is the only way to describe these sounds, definitely for fans of the likes of Nurse With Wound and Aranos. We'll be putting up excerpts from the recordings and artwork in the coming weeks. More news on that soon!

Our friends Demander will have copies of An Assorted Collective, Volume One with them while on tour with The Holdsteady and Art Brut come October so if you have the chance to check them out, please do! Demander puts on one helluva show, they'll also be in Europe in the late Autumn with New Model Army!

Sudan is in the process of finishing up the Edo No Hana EP, in the meantime head over to our audio section to check out a couple of tracks from that forthcoming release.

Submissions for the forthcoming Gerogerigegege homage/tribute album have been extended until the end of October to give more time for all the artists involved. It's really shaping up, we've got submissions from friends all over the world, including the likes of Crank Sturgeon, (((Microwaves))), Hentai Lacerator (Realicide), Jeff Gretz (From Autumn To Ashes, ex-Zao), Tetsuo (At War With False Noise) and tons more! Talk about an interesting mix! We'll keep you posted as everything moves forward.

Also check out some new releases from I Am Seamonster and a new collaboration involving Akira Kosemura and Haruka Nakamura coming in from our friends at Schole in Japan. All in our distro store!

Come Spring 2008 we have even more releases, more shows, more everything! Stay tuned.

So many things happening right now we don't know where to begin!

First and foremost, our record release show at Fix Lounge on Friday was a great success. All the bands played great and the audience was exciting, supportive and ready to party all night! We can't thank everyone enough, Peculiar Gentlemen, Badman, Lonely Ghost, Yeoman, Sara for hosting, Laura Rebel Angel for spinning, Fix Lounge for having us and of course everyone that took the time to come out and have some fun! Thank you! Take a look at some of the photos in our new Gallery page. We'll be getting started on planning the next show as soon as we can.

In further news we're preparing for our next few releases. We'll be putting out releases in rapid fire mode for the next few months, so we'll be making a lot of updates. Here's preview of what to expect coming up:

Lonely Ghost - Title TBA CD - ATF-003
Our friends in Lonely Ghost have been gracious enough to have us working with them on their up coming release. All improv ambient rock with noisy dashes splashed throughout. They played a fantastic set this past week for our record release show which makes us even more excited to have them on board. We'll have a release date and open pre-orders really soon!
Lonely Ghost

Sudan - Edo No Hana CD - ATF-004
Sudan's upcoming album, 'Edo No Hana' is shaping up to be an eclectic mix of special guests and strange sounds with no discernable genre. Recorded from March 2007 to September 2007, it represents the seasons of spring to the fall, and each track is unique unto its self.
Sudan

Various Artists - As of yet untitled homage to the Gerogerigegege Format TBA - ATF-005
Finally we have an all new compilation we're putting together right now. It's a tribute/homage of sorts to the great Japanese noise band, The Gerogerigegege! The response we've received for this release has been nothing short of overwhelming. We've already received finished tracks and we can't wait to receive the rest of the submissions. We've been in contact with some great artists from all over the world as well as right here in NYC! I think when all is said and done everyone will be very surprised and pleased with tracklist and the artists that contacted us to make a contribution. We'll be accepting submissions until the end of September so get into contact with us! This project is being spearheaded by Joey at ATF so you can e-mail him directly at joey@andtheyfell.com
The Gerogerigegege

So that's what's coming up with even more releases planned. You can expect all of these releases by winter 2007!

We'll also be adding many more releases to the distro store in the coming weeks. Keep yer eyes peeled!

"An Assorted Collective, Volume One" is printed and the tentative release date is next Tuesday, August 28th! Just in time for the Record Release Party!

August 31st @ 9:00 NO COVER
Fix Lounge/Sound Fix Records
N. 11th & Bedford Ave.
Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Hosted by the lovely Sara

Peculiar Gentlemen
Badman
Lonely Ghost
Yeoman
(Jack from The Sadges and Sudan)

Stick around for the party afterwards:
Laura Rebel Angel will be spinning
Drink Specials and Giveaways
We'll have a full merch table with our releases and our distro store
Hope you can make it!

We've also began accepting tracks for an upcoming release. We'll be releasing a tribute of sorts to the Japanese noise greats, The Gerogerigegege
and we're accepting tracks right now! This means either interpretations, covers or simply tracks influenced and inspired by Juntaro, Gero and the gang.

I need to get a measure of what interest there is from other artists, if you'd like to participate. Artists, let me know if you'd like to submit a track; and labels, get the word out to your friends or let me know if your interested. The format and number of pressings are all dependent on the feedback I get from all of you.

So bust out your copy of Tokyo Anal Dynamite, get inspired and shoot me an e-mail if you're interested. Please e-mail to joey@andtheyfell.com or just shoot us a message on MySpace. I'll keep everyone posted on the progress.

The great thing about this project is it's Gero, so the sounds can all be so varied and different from track to track. We've already received two tracks: Water Business performed by New York's own Sick To The Back Teeth and the entire Yellow Trash Bazooka 7" performed by Croatia's Karmakumulator! Both are great, capturing the essence of both original recordings while adding their own spin as well.

We'll be adding a number of new releases to our distro store in the days to come, stay tuned!

7-26-07

7-15-07
