Review from Schole Magazine Vol.3 (Japan) translated from Japanese:
The EP "Honestly" is limitedly released with 500 copies worldwide
from Andtheyfell Recordings, the rising American label. In this five track
split EP, the artists Aaron Martin and Sudan have woven up their instrumental
talents to make it so emotional yet lyrical. Aaron Martin started the
EP with two soft minimal pieces which would be soothing to listen to on
a Sunday afternoon. His soft electronic
sounds and instruments such as guitar reminded me of the works of Lullatone,
Tenniscoats or Daisuke Miyatani. Then Sudan took over to the last three
of ambient pieces with deep and heavy soundscape, which has repeating
guitar phrases. Sudan has also had shown his remarkable talent of vocal
performing while delivering a soft acoustic monologue in "Chocolate."
The EP "Honestly" is truly a rare piece with hand woven emotional
sound, tune and vocal. This masterpiece could be the one that leads us
to the new interpretation of music.
